Where we work

ISO consultants worldwide: offices in 21 countries, covering seven regions

Sterling's ISO consultants work from offices in 21 countries, covering seven regions, and have delivered client engagements in 60+ countries. Choose your region for its standards, regulators and accreditation bodies, or your nearest office for its address and contact details.

How we are organised

How are Sterling's regions and offices organised?

The six region pages cover North America; the UK and Europe; the Middle East and Africa; India and South Asia; Southeast Asia; and Australia and New Zealand. Each one names the standards buyers in the region ask for, the regulators and frameworks that shape demand there, the accreditation bodies behind local certificates where these have been verified, and how an engagement runs in the region. The 18 office pages give each office's address and contact details, the services it delivers, the standards most requested locally and directions for visitors.

Sterling's global headquarters is in New York, and regional headquarters lead engagements in their regions. A programme with sites in several countries keeps one engagement team and one Effivity workspace, with consultants travelling to sites whenever observation or in-person work is needed, and workshops and reviews running remotely where that suits the client. Programmes in countries without a Sterling office run the same way from the nearest regional headquarters, which is how Sterling has delivered client engagements in 60+ countries from offices in 18.

Certificates are issued by accredited certification bodies, and the accreditation body behind them differs by country. Since 1 January 2026, Global ACI has been the recognition arrangement between accreditation bodies, replacing the IAF MLA and ILAC MRA, and it is the first thing to check when a customer in one country is shown a certificate from another. Sterling does not certify or accredit; it prepares you for the certification body's audit, and the region pages explain which bodies operate there.

FAQs

Working with Sterling across countries

Three questions buyers ask about locations and certificates.

Does Sterling work in countries without an office?

Yes. Sterling has delivered client engagements in 60+ countries from offices in 21 countries. Where there is no local office, the nearest regional headquarters leads the programme, workshops and reviews run remotely, and consultants travel to your sites when observation or in-person work is needed.

Which office should we contact?

Contact the office nearest to where decisions about the programme are made; your nearest office and its number are shown at the top of every page. For a programme spanning several countries, one engagement team runs the whole engagement and draws on colleagues in the other regions, so you do not need to contact each office separately.

Is a certificate issued in one country accepted in another?

Usually, if it is accredited. Check that the certification body is accredited for the standard and scope by an accreditation body that is a member of Global ACI, the arrangement that replaced the IAF MLA and ILAC MRA on 1 January 2026, and confirm that your customer or regulator accepts it. The certificate check tool lists the checks to run.
