GRC insights: practical guides for ISO, privacy and compliance teams
Plain-English guides to the questions that come up during implementation, audits and customer reviews, written by the Sterling delivery team for the people who run the management system day to day.
About these guides
Answers to the questions teams actually ask
Each guide takes one practical problem, such as a customer security questionnaire, an expired certificate or a new regulatory register, and explains what the standard or regulation expects, where organisations usually go wrong and what good evidence looks like.
The guides are written for quality, security and compliance leads rather than specialists in the standard. Where a guide refers to a clause or requirement, check it against the current edition of the standard or the regulation itself, and talk to a Sterling consultant if you want to apply it to your own scope.

FAQs
Questions about GRC insights
How the guides are written and how to use them.
Who writes these guides?
The Sterling delivery team: expert and experienced consultants who guide ISO management systems into place and compliance programmes with clients across the markets we serve.
Can a guide replace the standard or legal advice?
No. The guides explain common approaches and pitfalls. Always work from the current edition of the standard or the regulation, and take legal advice where a regulation creates legal obligations for your organisation.
Does Sterling issue certificates?
No. Sterling helps you prepare; an accredited certification body audits your management system and decides whether to certify it.
