Does Sterling issue ISO certificates in the Philippines?
No. Sterling does not certify. Sterling's expert and experienced consultants prepare your organisation, and an independent, accredited certification body carries out the Stage 1 and Stage 2 audits and decides on certification. Before you appoint a body, ask which accreditation covers your scope and check it on the accreditation body's register; the Philippine Accreditation Bureau recommends IAF CertSearch for confirming that a certificate is genuine.
Does ISO/IEC 27001 certification mean we comply with the Data Privacy Act?
Not on its own. The Data Privacy Act of 2012 has no certificate of compliance; the National Privacy Commission enforces it, with duties such as a data protection officer, privacy impact assessments and breach notification. ISO/IEC 27001 gives you the security controls the Act expects, and the Commission's Circular No. 2023-05 makes ISO/IEC 27001 and ISO/IEC 27701 certification prerequisites for the voluntary Philippine Privacy Mark.
Can the Manila team support sites outside Metro Manila?
Yes. The engagement is scoped around your actual sites, whether that is one office in Makati or plants, warehouses and branches in several regions. Consultants work on site where the standard needs it, such as process walks, internal audits and readiness preparation, and online for documentation, reviews and training. The plan names who attends each site, and when, before work starts.
