Does Sterling issue ISO certificates in Vietnam?
No. Sterling does not certify. Our expert and experienced consultants prepare your organisation, and an independent, accredited certification body carries out the Stage 1 and Stage 2 audits and decides on certification. In Vietnam, the National Accreditation Bureau (BoA) operates the Vietnam Certification Accreditation Scheme (VICAS) for certification bodies to ISO/IEC 17021-1. Since 1 January 2026 the Global ACI arrangement has replaced the IAF MLA, so ask any certification body which accreditation covers your scope and check that body's current standing before you appoint it.
Which Vietnamese laws and regulators apply to our system?
That depends on your sector, your sites and the data you handle. Environmental permits, workplace safety duties, data protection and sector rules are each set by Vietnamese authorities, and the ones that apply to your organisation are confirmed during scoping, so your system records them correctly and your compliance evaluation checks them. A certificate does not replace any legal duty.
Can the team support factories outside Ho Chi Minh City, or in other countries?
Yes. The engagement is scoped around your actual sites, whether that is one plant or several across Vietnam. Consultants work on site where the standard needs it, such as process walks, internal audits and readiness preparation, and online for documentation, reviews and training. Where your group also has sites in the Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia or Indonesia, the Southeast Asia offices join the same programme under one engagement team.
