Few Indonesian companies answer to only one regulator. A food group may carry halal obligations under Undang-Undang Nomor 33 Tahun 2014, personal data duties under the 2022 data protection law and SMK3 requirements for its factories; a bank adds OJK supervision; a platform operator adds BSSN's electronic system security rules. Keeping track of these one by one is how obligations get missed. ISO 37301 provides the structure for doing it as a system: an obligations register, compliance risk assessment, clear accountability, training, monitoring, escalation and reporting to the board. No law reviewed for this page requires certification, but the standard is certifiable, and an accredited certificate gives directors, lenders and partners independent assurance. Certification is issued by a certification body accredited for ISO 37301 by Komite Akreditasi Nasional (KAN) or another body within the international recognition arrangements. How long does ISO 37301 certification take in Indonesia?

ISO 37301 consultants and certification bodies in Indonesia
Two different organisations are involved. A consultant helps you build the system and prove it works; an accredited certification body then audits or assesses it and decides. Keeping the two separate is what makes the result credible to buyers and regulators.

Is ISO 37301 required in Indonesia?
No legal mandate was verified. Organisations use it to manage many regulatory obligations together in one compliance management system. Whether it adds value depends on how many regimes apply to you, so weigh that before committing. Smaller organisations with a single regime may find a lighter approach sufficient for their needs.
How does ISO 37301 relate to ISO 37001?
ISO 37001 covers bribery specifically, while ISO 37301 covers compliance obligations in general. A company may use the first for its anti-bribery risk and the second as the wider umbrella, so choose by the scope of risk you need to control.
Who issues the certificate?
Certification is by a body accredited for the standard, not by a regulator. Look for accreditation from Komite Akreditasi Nasional (KAN) or another accreditation body within the international arrangements, and verify the scope before you appoint anyone. Ask each candidate to confirm in writing that its accreditation covers compliance management systems.
