Accreditation, audit language and remote audits in Nepal
Choose a certification body accredited for this standard by an accreditation body within the international mutual recognition arrangements (Global ACI — Global Accreditation Cooperation Incorporated, formerly the IAF MLA), and check that the accreditation scope covers the standard and your sector. NBSM, the national standards body, describes no national accreditation body for certification bodies, so certificates used in Nepal usually carry accreditation from an accreditation body in another economy; ask for the accreditation certificate and scope. Audit language
Most Nepali laws and official notices are issued in Nepali, and the Nepal Law Commission publishes English translations of many Acts, including the Privacy Act. Agree the audit language, any interpreter and the language of controlled documents with the certification body at application.

What problem does ISO 37301 solve for a Nepali business?
Keeping track of obligations spread across many laws, regulators and languages. The standard requires an obligations register, risk assessment, assigned owners, monitoring and reporting to the governing body, so changes in a law or guideline are picked up and acted on rather than discovered during an inspection.
Can ISO 37301 and ISO 37001 be combined?
Yes. Both follow the same management system structure, and many organisations run anti-bribery as one area within a wider compliance management system. A combined approach shares the risk assessment, training, reporting channel, internal audit and management review, which cuts duplication and gives the board one consolidated view.
Who certifies ISO 37301 in Nepal?
Fewer bodies offer compliance management certification than ISO 9001, so plan for a body accredited in another economy. Ask early whether ISO 37301 is within its accreditation, whether it can audit an obligations register drawn from Nepali-language law, and whether it can combine the audit with ISO 37001.
