Accreditation, audit language and remote audits in Jordan

Arabic and English are both used in audits and documents; agree the audit language, any interpreter and the language of controlled documents with the certification body at application, and say early if interviews will run in Arabic.

Remote audit elements are at the certification body's discretion under its accreditation rules; plants, warehouses and operational sites are normally visited on-site.

What does ISO 37301 add for a Jordanian bank?
It does not replace Central Bank instructions. It gives the compliance function a framework for identifying obligations, assigning owners, monitoring controls, handling breaches and improving. Evidence from the framework can support supervisory conversations, so keep your mapping to each instruction and confirm it with the Bank where unclear.
Is ISO 37301 a certificate that proves legal compliance in Jordan?
No. It certifies a management system, not legal compliance, and only a regulator or court decides whether a law was breached. A certificate shows that obligations are identified and managed, which helps with customers and boards. Keep legal advice separate from the audit.
How is ISO 37301 different from ISO 37001?
ISO 37301 covers compliance obligations of every kind, while ISO 37001 deals with bribery alone. Many organisations begin with one and extend to the other because the policy, risk, training and investigation elements are shared. Choose by what customers and regulators ask for.
Who certifies ISO 37301 in Jordan?
Only an accredited certification body can issue the certificate, and Sterling does not.
