ISO 56001 client experienceWhat it is
What is ISO 56001 and what is it used for?
ISO 56001 is the international standard that sets out the requirements for an innovation management system. Organisations use it to develop and demonstrate their capability to innovate, improve innovation performance and realise value for users, customers and other interested parties. It applies to organisations of every type and size, whatever they offer and however they innovate, and it is the only document in the ISO 56000 family against which an organisation can be certified.
ISO treats an innovation as a new or changed entity that realises or redistributes value, whether a product, service, process, model or method. The standard does not tell you what to invent. It asks for a system: an innovation intent set at the strategic level, from which the scope and strategy follow; a policy and objectives; a portfolio of initiatives aligned with the strategy; and flexible, iterative processes to identify opportunities, create and validate concepts, and develop and deploy solutions. Experimentation reduces uncertainty, and a stopped initiative counts as learning, not a failure to hide.
The rest of the ISO 56000 family, from the same ISO committee, supports it: ISO 56000 for fundamentals, vocabulary and the eight innovation management principles, ISO 56002 for guidance on the system, and guidance on partnerships (ISO 56003), assessment (ISO/TR 56004), intellectual property (ISO 56005), strategic intelligence (ISO 56006), opportunities and ideas (ISO 56007) and innovation operation measurements (ISO 56008).
Current edition. ISO 56001:2024 is the first edition, published in September 2024. It was prepared by ISO/TC 279 in collaboration with CEN and adopted in Europe as EN ISO 56001:2024. ISO lists no amendment or revision in progress, so there is no transition to plan and every organisation builds to the 2024 edition. Its normative reference is ISO 56000, whose second edition, published in January 2025, was aligned with ISO 56001; ISO 56002:2019 is being revised.
Who it is for
Who needs ISO 56001 certification?
ISO 56001 suits any organisation whose future depends on new or improved products, services, processes or business models, from a manufacturer or software company to a hospital, university or agency. The certificate's scope should state the parts of the organisation and the activities the system covers. Most organisations that ask us about ISO 56001 start from one of four places:
- Innovation happens, but by accident. Good ideas surface in one team, stall in another and depend on a few people with energy to spare. ISO 56001 gives innovation the direction, resources and review the rest of the business already has.
- A partner, investor or funding programme wants evidence of innovation capability. The standard names these users itself: organisations seeking confidence in partners and suppliers, funders and investors assessing an applicant, and public bodies promoting innovation. Confirm what they will accept, accreditation included, before you commit.
- You innovate with others. Joint development with customers, suppliers, universities or start-ups needs shared rules on roles, knowledge and intellectual property. A common framework for organisations innovating together is one of the uses the standard was written for.
- You hold ISO 9001 or ISO/IEC 27001, and innovation sits outside the system. Today's business runs well; new offerings are handled as exceptions. ISO 56001 brings exploration into the same structure and the same audits.
The standard applies whatever an organisation's type or size. Its introduction adds one caution: the requirements are not always an effective basis for evaluating newly formed organisations, so a very young start-up may do better to build the practices first and certify once there is a track record.
Business benefits
How ISO 56001 turns ideas into realised value
Few organisations lack ideas. What they lack is a dependable way to choose between them, fund the right ones, stop the wrong ones early and get the survivors into use. The benefits below follow the list in the standard's introduction.
- More value from what you launchNew products, services, processes and models judged by the value they realise, not by the number of ideas submitted.
- Uncertainty managed, not avoidedExperiments, iterations and a balanced portfolio replace all-or-nothing bets, so ambitious initiatives can be pursued with the risk in view.
- Capability that outlasts its championsRoles, time, money, knowledge and methods assigned to innovation, so capability keeps building when the people who started it move on.
- A stronger position with partnersA shared framework for joint work with customers, suppliers, universities and start-ups across your value chain or wider innovation ecosystem.
- A better case for fundingInvestors, grant bodies and programmes see a managed portfolio and how decisions are taken; an improved ability to attract funding is a benefit the standard names.
- Resilience when the market movesStructures, processes and competences that adapt as the context changes, with the risk of not innovating weighed as seriously as the risk of trying.
Pick a few measures that match these aims, such as revenue or savings from recently deployed solutions, time from validated concept to launch, and how many initiatives stop at each stage and why. A bigger idea database is not a business result.
Requirements
What are the main ISO 56001 requirements?
ISO 56001 uses the harmonised structure of the ISO management system standards, clauses 4 to 10, so it can share a context, documents, an audit programme and a management review with ISO 9001 or ISO/IEC 27001. The innovation content sits inside it: an innovation intent that shapes the scope; leadership duties on value realisation, change, policy, strategy and culture; a portfolio, structures and collaboration in planning; seven named resources, from people and time to intellectual property; and five innovation processes. The table is a plain-language guide; your system is checked against the standard's own wording during the programme, and it need not follow the clause numbering.
| Clause | What it requires of you | What it looks like in practice |
|---|---|---|
| 4 Context of the organisation | Determine the internal and external issues and the interested parties relevant to innovation; set the innovation intent; define the scope of the innovation management system and establish the system | A context analysis of markets, technology, regulation and your own capabilities, an innovation intent agreed at the top, and a scope naming the units, sites and activities covered |
| 5 Leadership | Show leadership and commitment, with a focus on value realisation and on change management; establish and communicate an innovation policy and an innovation strategy; foster an innovation culture; assign roles, responsibilities and authorities | A policy and strategy that leaders sign and refer to, a senior sponsor, behaviour from the top that makes experimenting safe, and owners for the portfolio and the processes |
| 6.1 to 6.3 Planning | Plan actions on risks and opportunities; set innovation objectives consistent with the policy and strategy and plan how to achieve them; carry out changes to the system in a planned way | A register of risks and opportunities that includes the risk of standing still, objectives with owners, resources and dates, and a plan whenever the system itself is changed |
| 6.4 Innovation portfolio | Establish innovation portfolios, made up of innovation initiatives and aligned with the innovation strategy and objectives | One view of every initiative with its stage, resources and expected value, and a regular portfolio review that balances ambition against risk and decides what continues, changes or stops |
| 6.5, 6.6 Organisational structures and collaboration | Plan the organisational structures innovation works through and the collaboration it depends on | A decision on where innovation sits, in a central team, with leads in each unit or both, and partner agreements settling roles, contributions, confidentiality and ownership before joint work starts |
| 7 Support | Determine and provide the resources innovation needs, namely people, time, finance, infrastructure, knowledge, intellectual property, and tools and methods; ensure competence and awareness; plan communication; control documented information | Time and budget allocated to initiatives, a knowledge base of insights and lessons, an intellectual property routine from the first concept, competence records for innovation roles, and controlled documents |
| 8.1, 8.2 Operational planning and control, innovation initiatives | Plan, implement and control the processes the system needs, and manage innovation initiatives at the operational level | A charter for each initiative with its objective, sponsor, team, budget, decision points and success criteria, and records showing it ran as planned or was deliberately changed |
| 8.3 Innovation processes | Operate innovation processes, flexible and adaptable to each initiative, to identify opportunities, create concepts, validate concepts, develop solutions and deploy solutions | Opportunity assessments from customer, market and technology insight, concepts tested through experiments or prototypes, a recorded decision after each test, and deployment plans that track the value realised |
| 9 Performance evaluation | Monitor, measure, analyse and evaluate innovation performance and the effectiveness of the system; conduct internal audits; review the system at planned intervals | Indicators for the portfolio, the processes and the value realised, an audit programme that samples live initiatives at different stages, and a management review that decides on direction and resources |
| 10 Improvement | Continually improve the suitability, adequacy and effectiveness of the system; react to nonconformities, deal with their causes and take corrective action | Improvement actions from reviews and audits, corrective actions closed with evidence, and lessons from stopped initiatives fed back into the processes |
What does useful ISO 56001 evidence look like?
The approved innovation intent, policy and strategy; objectives with owners; the portfolio and the decisions recorded at its reviews; a sample of initiatives with their opportunity assessments, test results and go or stop decisions; lessons from discontinued work; collaboration and intellectual property decisions; competence records; internal audit reports and a management review that allocated resources. We start from the records your teams already produce, add only what is required and keep it all in Effivity from the first workshop.
ISO 56001 requirements explained, clause by clauseCertification process
How do you get ISO 56001 certified?
Build the innovation management system and run it on real initiatives; an independent certification body then audits it. Sterling prepares and builds with you, the certification body alone decides, and that separation gives the certificate its value to whoever asked for it.
- 01Agree what the certificate must cover.Settle the units, sites, kinds of innovation and headcount in scope, and who is asking: a partner, a funder, a public programme or your own board.
- 02Gap analysis: set current innovation practice against ISO 56001.The gap analysis reviews strategy, idea and project pipelines, portfolio decisions, intellectual property handling and measurement against clauses 4 to 10, keeps what works and agrees actions, owners, dates and resources.
- 03Run the system on live initiatives.Agree the intent, policy and strategy, start the portfolio reviews, train the people involved and take real initiatives through the processes so that records build up.
- 04Audit, review and close the findings.Internal audit samples initiatives at different stages and management review examines innovation performance; we raise findings first and see them closed with evidence.
- 05Complete the independent assessment. The certification body reviews readiness at Stage 1 and audits the running system at Stage 2; you answer any findings and the body decides.
- 06Keep innovating under the certificate.Portfolio reviews, measurement, internal audits and improvement continue, alongside the body's annual surveillance audits and recertification every three years.
Judge the route before the price. Ask which body will issue the certificate, whether its accreditation covers ISO 56001 itself and which accreditation body granted it, and confirm both with the bodies concerned. Where your country has no accredited route for ISO 56001 yet, agree with the partner, funder or programme asking for it whether an unaccredited certificate will serve. Cost
How much does ISO 56001 certification cost?
A single price for ISO 56001 would mislead you. A technology company with one innovation team and an established stage-gate process needs a different scope from a group managing innovation across several business units and countries. What does not change is the proposal: every component visible, one all-inclusive proposal.
| Cost component | What affects it |
|---|---|
| Consulting and implementation | The maturity of your innovation practice, the units and sites in scope, the number of live initiatives, the deliverables and how much of the work your team carries (Design™ or Drive™) |
| Independent certification | The certification body's audit days, locations and travel, its annual surveillance arrangements, and whether you need a body accredited for ISO 56001 |
| Internal resources | Leadership time for intent, strategy and portfolio decisions, initiative teams' time, training, and any changes to budgets or structures |
| Software and learning | Part of every Sterling engagement: Effivity to run the system and Sterling Academy access for your people, with users, courses and access period set out in the proposal |
| Continued support | Internal audits, portfolio review support, refresher learning and changes of scope under Sustain™ |
What moves the price
- The number of business units, sites and countries in scope
- How many initiatives are live, and how far through the processes they are
- Whether a strategy, a portfolio process or a stage-gate model already exists
- An ISO 9001, ISO/IEC 27001 or other certified system to build on
- The deadline set by a partner, funder or programme, and your team's capacity
What a Sterling proposal always shows
- What we deliver, who does what, our assumptions and exclusions, in writing
- Certification-body fees on their own line, so programmes can be compared in full
- Effivity, training and Academy access listed item by item, at no additional cost
- Each payment released by a completed deliverable
- A single all-inclusive proposal, with no surprises
Timeline
How long does ISO 56001 certification take?
Plan for six to twelve months. The pace depends less on documents than on elapsed time: initiatives must move through the processes, a portfolio review must take real decisions and management review must see innovation performance before an auditor can judge the system in operation. A stage-gate process, a certified ISO 9001 system or a programme built on ISO 56002 usually shortens the path. We plan backwards from the evidence the audit needs, with milestones tracked in Effivity.
| Phase | What determines the pace |
|---|---|
| Scope and gap analysis | Access to leadership, strategy papers, project lists, idea platforms and initiative owners |
| Build and implementation | How quickly top management agrees the intent, policy and strategy, how many units join, and the capacity of initiative teams |
| Evidence and review | Initiatives passing through enough process stages to leave a record, a portfolio review with decisions, then internal audit and management review |
| Certification assessment | Availability of a suitable certification body, accredited for ISO 56001 where required; Stage 1 and Stage 2 scheduling; time to close findings |
The standard lets you adopt its elements gradually, to suit your context and maturity, but a conformity claim, and so a certificate, needs every requirement in place. If a funding call, a partner review or a board date sets the deadline, tell us at the start; we will say what is achievable and which decisions have to be taken early. A certificate date promised before anyone has looked at your portfolio is a sales line, not a plan.
Challenges
Common ISO 56001 implementation challenges
ISO 56001 programmes tend to stall in five places. Each has a practical way through.
Innovation depends on a handful of enthusiasts.
Design it in: roles, authority, time and budget assigned, and a culture in which trying and stopping are both acceptable. Leadership sets intent and strategy; the enthusiasts become initiative leads with a mandate, not volunteers working after hours.
The pipeline is full and nothing reaches deployment.
Give the portfolio criteria linked to the strategy and review it on a fixed rhythm. Fewer initiatives, properly resourced and validated quickly, deliver more than a long list competing for the same people.
Stopping an initiative feels like admitting failure.
The standard treats discontinued initiatives as part of the innovation processes and a source of learning. Record why each stopped, what was learned and where the knowledge went; the auditor then sees disciplined decisions, not waste.
Intellectual property and partner terms are settled too late.
Intellectual property is a resource the standard names, and collaboration is planned, not improvised. Settle ownership, confidentiality and contributions when a concept is created, and check what could be protected before disclosure.
The innovation team and the certified quality system pull in different directions.
Run one system on one structure: ISO 9001 controls how today's products and services are delivered, ISO 56001 how new ones are explored, and a defined hand-over takes each validated solution into the quality controls. One audit calendar, one management review.
Your engagement
What your ISO 56001 engagement includes
The scope you agree brings together what a working innovation management system and a prepared team require. Many providers stop at a strategy workshop or an idea platform; a Sterling engagement covers the whole route to certification, with one team and one all-inclusive proposal.
Scope, gap analysis and implementation plan
Units, sites and kinds of innovation confirmed, with responsibilities, dates and decision owners agreed before the work begins.
Process development and documentation
The innovation intent, policy and strategy, portfolio rules and the innovation processes, developed on Sterling's own template sets with the people who will run them.
Effivity ISO & GRC software
Your innovation management system runs in Effivity from the start, included with the engagement at no additional cost.
Training for everyone
Internal auditor training, as applicable to your standard, for the people who will audit the system, and preferential Sterling Academy access, including complimentary awareness training for your people as part of the engagement.
Internal audit and management review
Conducted or facilitated as agreed, sampling initiatives at different stages, with findings closed with evidence before the certification body arrives.
Certification readiness and support
Preparation for Stage 1 and Stage 2, advice on a certification route your partners and funders will accept, and support until the certificate is issued.
Certification decisions remain with the independent certification body.
How we deliver
How Sterling supports your ISO 56001 implementation
Each ISO 56001 engagement follows Sterling OS™, our delivery operating system: five phases, and at each one the deliverables, the decision owners and the evidence are defined. Support follows your internal capacity; the method, software and accountability do not change.
- 01Design™Guided implementation: your innovation leads build the system themselves, using Sterling's structure, templates, workshops and coaching.
- 02Drive™Fully managed consulting: Sterling consultants carry the agreed consulting and documentation work alongside your initiative and portfolio owners.
- 03Sustain™Post-certification operation: surveillance readiness, internal audits, portfolio review support, refreshers and training for new joiners, year after year.
- 04Automate™The innovation management system running in Effivity: intent, strategy, objectives, risks, portfolio, initiatives, audits, actions and management review in one workspace.
- 05Revise™Changes in scope, new units or countries, and future revisions of ISO 56001 or of the guidance around it, such as the revised ISO 56002 now in development.
At kick-off we fix your engagement team, a weekly working session, the deliverables and the decision rights; progress is tracked against them, so a stalled initiative or an unresourced review shows up within weeks, long before Stage 1.

Effivity · ISO 56001 innovation management system software, included in every engagement
How Effivity helps you fulfil, automate and simplify the requirements of ISO 56001:2024.
Every Sterling ISO 56001 engagement comes with Effivity, the Sterling group's ISO and GRC automation platform, in use in 50+ countries. Innovation needs the same backbone as any certified system, and Effivity provides it: your consultant configures the workspace within the agreed scope, with context, policy, strategy, objectives, risks, documents, competence, audits, actions and management review in one place, and the portfolio and initiatives in registers that follow your process. Evidence builds as the work happens, so the auditor reviews a working system, not a slide deck. For Sterling consulting clients the subscription is included with the engagement, at no additional cost.

Issues, interested parties, intent and scope
Issues, interested parties and their requirements, the innovation intent and the scope in one register with review dates, revisited when markets, technology or regulation shift.
Innovation policy, strategy, culture and roles
The innovation policy and strategy with approvals and communication records, roles and authorities, and the actions that build the innovation culture, tracked like any objective.
Risks, objectives and the innovation portfolio
Risks and opportunities with owners and treatments, objectives with measures and dates, and the portfolio as a configured register of each initiative's stage, resources and expected value.
Resources, competence, knowledge and documents
Competence and awareness records linked to Sterling Academy, resources allocated per initiative, a searchable library of insights and lessons, and controlled documents with versions and approvals.
Initiative charters and operational control
Each initiative with its objective, sponsor, team, budget and decision points; changes recorded with reasons; collaboration and intellectual property decisions attached to the initiative.
From opportunity to deployed solution
Configured workflows take an opportunity through concept, validation, development and deployment, recording test results and go or stop decisions at each step, with the reasons for stopping kept for the next team.
Indicators, internal audit and management review
Portfolio, process and value indicators on dashboards, audit programmes that sample initiatives at different stages, and a management review that records its inputs, decisions and changes to resources.
Nonconformity, corrective action and improvement
Nonconformities raised, investigated and closed with the root cause and proof the fix held; improvements to the system itself logged and followed through like any initiative.
What this means at the audit
The certification auditor asks for the intent and strategy, the portfolio and its last review, a sample of initiatives with their records, the internal audit programme, the latest management review and any open corrective actions. Effivity holds each of them as a dated record with an owner and its attachments, so nothing is gathered from inboxes in the week before Stage 1, and Sustain™ carries on in the same workspace after the certificate is issued.

Where innovation management fits in an integrated system.
- 01How an integrated programme runs
Quality and innovation as one system: ISO 9001 with ISO 56001
Both standards use the harmonised structure, and ISO 56001's introduction describes using it with other management system disciplines to balance exploiting existing offerings with exploring new ones. In such a programme the context, interested parties, document control, competence records, internal audit and management review are shared; ISO 9001 governs how current products and services are delivered, ISO 56001 how new ones are explored, and a defined hand-over moves each validated solution into the quality system's design, production and release controls.
Sterling Academy · ISO 56001 e-learning

A system your innovators will use
Less documentation and maximum effectiveness: the portfolio, the processes, the training and the software built around how your teams already work, so the system helps initiatives move instead of slowing them down.
Expert and experienced consultants
Consultants with management system implementations across sectors and countries since 2003, who get your innovation management system right first time and leave the certification audit nothing to discover but a system that works.
The Sterling Promise
What our ISO 56001 certification success guarantee means
Until the ISO 56001 certification outcome we agreed is reached, we stay with you: through implementation, preparation and the closure of any audit findings. Clear explanations, practical delivery, included software and learning for your people leave a lasting innovation capability, not just a certificate to frame.
The standard, the scope, the outcome and who is responsible for what are written into your engagement letter. You supply accurate information and run the system as agreed; whether you conform, and whether to certify, is for the independent certification body to decide. The commitment covers the agreed certification support, not the success of any individual innovation, the award of future funding or a partner's commercial decisions.
After certification
What happens after ISO 56001 certification?
A certified system has to keep choosing, funding and stopping initiatives as strategy, markets and people change: portfolio reviews continue, measures are reported, lessons fed back, and intent and strategy revisited when the context moves. The certification body returns for surveillance audits at least once a year and for recertification in the third year.
Under Sterling OS™ Sustain™ we support portfolio reviews, measurement, internal audits, management review and surveillance preparation, so the system keeps producing decisions and results between audits.
FAQs
Frequently asked questions about ISO 56001
Is ISO 56001 certification mandatory?
No. Like other ISO standards it is voluntary, though a partner, funder or programme can make it a condition. Demand comes from partners, investors and public bodies seeking confidence in innovation capability, and from leaders who want innovation run with the same discipline as the rest of the business.
What is the difference between ISO 56001 and ISO 56002?
ISO 56002:2019 is guidance: it recommends rather than requires, so it is not the basis for certification. ISO 56001:2024 contains the requirements used to evaluate conformity, and a certification body audits against it. ISO 56002, now being revised, remains a useful companion on how to implement.
Is accredited ISO 56001 certification available?
In some countries; each accreditation body decides when to open accreditation for a new standard. ACCREDIA, Italy's accreditation body, announced in March 2025 that certification bodies could apply for ISO 56001 accreditation, and accredited certification there followed in 2026; UKAS invited certification bodies into an ISO 56001 pilot accreditation project in January 2025. In the UAE and the Philippines, the national accreditation body did not list ISO 56001 among its management system schemes as of September 2026; there, check whether the certification body holds ISO 56001 accreditation from elsewhere or will certify without it, and whether that matters to whoever asked.
Does Sterling issue the ISO 56001 certificate?
No. Sterling consults, trains and prepares; the certification audit and the decision belong to an independent certification body. If one provider offers to deliver both the system and the certificate, the independence that gives a certificate its value is missing.
Can a start-up or small company be certified to ISO 56001?
Size is no barrier: the standard applies to any organisation, whatever its type or size, and its elements can be adopted gradually. Its introduction notes that the requirements are not always an effective basis for evaluating newly formed organisations, so a very young company may do better to build the practices first and certify later. The ISO committee is also developing guidance for start-ups and SMEs.
Does ISO 56001 cover intellectual property?
Yes. Intellectual property is one of the resources the standard names under clause 7.1, alongside people, time, finance, infrastructure, knowledge, and tools and methods. It does not replace legal advice on patents, licences or contracts; for practical methods, ISO 56005 gives guidance on intellectual property management and is itself being revised.
Can ISO 56001 be integrated with ISO 9001, ISO/IEC 27001 or other certified systems?
Yes. It shares the harmonised structure of the ISO management system standards, so context, policies, document control, internal audit and management review can serve several standards, often audited together by one certification body. The intent, the portfolio and the innovation processes still need their own evidence.
Do we need successful innovations before we can be certified?
You do not need a record of breakthrough launches. The standard recognises that not every initiative will succeed and treats discontinued initiatives as part of the innovation processes and a source of learning. The auditor needs to see the system at work: intent and strategy in use, a portfolio taking decisions, initiatives moving through the processes, and performance evaluated and acted on.
What does the Sterling Promise of 100% success mean for ISO 56001?
We remain with you until the ISO 56001 certification outcome set out in your engagement is achieved, through consulting, assessment preparation and the closure of audit findings. The engagement defines the standard, scope and outcome; the audit and the decision stay with the independent certification body.
What do you need to prepare an ISO 56001 proposal?
The units and sites to be covered, approximate headcount, how innovation is organised today, any certificates you hold, and who is asking for ISO 56001 and by when. That is enough for a scoped, all-inclusive proposal.
Before the first call
Prepare a useful ISO 56001 readiness brief
You do not need an innovation manual before the first conversation. A short account of how new ideas become products, services or better ways of working, and where a certificate should help, is enough. Seven questions cover it:
- Who is asking for ISO 56001, and what scope and accreditation do they expect? If nobody has asked, what should innovation deliver for the business?
- Which units, sites and kinds of innovation (products, services, processes, business models) should the system cover?
- How are ideas and opportunities captured today, and how is it decided which of them get time and money?
- How many initiatives are live, at what stages, and who reviews them?
- How are intellectual property, confidentiality and partner agreements handled in joint work?
- Who can take decisions and give time to implementation, internal review and learning?
- Is there a funding deadline, a partner review or an existing certificate to plan around?
With these answers we can scope the work and put a realistic proposal in front of you. They prepare a conversation: they do not score you and they do not decide certification.
Don’t be fooled by certification scams
If it takes ten days, it is not ISO 56001 certification.
A certificate earns its place when its scope and accreditation status answer the question your partner, funder or programme is asking, and the system behind it survives scrutiny. New standards attract shortcuts: "innovation certified" badges with no audit behind them, and consultants who promise a certificate while nobody changes how ideas are chosen or funded. - Ask who will issue the certificate and how you can confirm its status and scope directly with that body.
- Check any accreditation claim for ISO 56001 with the accreditation body itself. Accreditation is granted standard by standard, and accreditation bodies in the Global ACI arrangement, which replaced the IAF MLA and ILAC MRA, publish which certification bodies they accredit and for what.
- Ask how the programme will use your own strategy, portfolio and initiatives. Documents should describe how you innovate, not a template with another organisation's strategy still in it.
- Establish who carries each task, which fees are separate, and what help you get when a finding needs corrective action.
- Ask what your people will learn and which platform the system will live on. Without training and a working platform, the system fades once the consultant leaves.
- Walk away from "innovation certified in two weeks", "your teams need not be involved" and one invoice for consulting and certificate. An innovation management system has to run on real initiatives before it can be audited.
