ISO 17025 accreditation in Dubai at a glance
Dubai Municipality's Dubai Central Laboratory, formed in 1997 from the Municipality's laboratories, says it is accredited by the Emirates International Accreditation Centre to ISO/IEC 17025:2017, and it also holds accreditations for product certification and inspection. That sets a visible benchmark for any private laboratory in the emirate, from food and construction-materials testing to metrology and calibration. A laboratory that wants its results accepted across borders seeks accreditation from an accreditation body for its own scope, not a certificate, and the UAE page explains which body does what. Laboratories in Jafza and Dubai Industrial City often serve manufacturers who need test reports that overseas customers will accept. Sterling's Dubai office prepares the quality system, method validation and uncertainty evidence, with Effivity and Sterling Academy included.

ISO 17025 in Dubai: questions clients ask
Which Dubai laboratory shows what ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation looks like locally?
Dubai Municipality's Dubai Central Laboratory. It states that it is accredited by the Emirates International Accreditation Centre to ISO/IEC 17025:2017 and runs sections covering microbiology, chemical analysis, metrology and product certification. Your own scope will differ, so define the tests and calibrations you want accredited before you apply.
Is a laboratory in Dubai certified or accredited to ISO/IEC 17025?
Accredited. Competence to carry out tests and calibrations is recognised by an accreditation body assessing the laboratory against the standard, not by a certification body. The UAE page sets out which accreditation body covers which activity, and the accreditation scope shows exactly which methods are covered.
