In short

ISO 14001 certification in Abu Dhabi at a glance

Which Abu Dhabi businesses report emissions to a regulator? The Environment Agency runs a Self-Monitoring and Reporting Programme under its environmental assessment and permitting work, and its page names no ISO standard, so an environmental management system is not a substitute for reporting. What ISO 14001 does give KEZAD manufacturers, Khalifa Port tenants and Masdar City engineering firms is a structured way to find their significant aspects, track compliance and show customers that the system works. An accredited certification body issues the certificate. Sterling's Dubai office builds the aspects register and legal-compliance evaluation with your team, then supports internal audit and management review, with Effivity and Sterling Academy included with the engagement.

Why here

ISO 14001 in Abu Dhabi: questions clients ask

Does the Environment Agency require ISO 14001?

No requirement was found. The Agency's Self-Monitoring and Reporting Programme asks reporting entities to report emissions from key activities, and its page does not mention ISO 14001. An environmental management system can organise the data you report but does not replace the reporting itself. Confirm your own obligations with the Agency.

Which Abu Dhabi sectors are most asked for ISO 14001?

Industrial manufacturers in KEZAD and clean-energy or engineering businesses in Masdar City, because their customers include groups with supplier environmental criteria. Requests differ by customer, and some want the certificate while others accept a questionnaire, so read the supplier terms for the exact evidence expected.
