How long does ISO 37301 certification take in Italy?
There is no standard duration: it depends on your scope and on how much of the system already runs. In Italy these are the factors that set the timeline.

ISO 37301 consultants and certification bodies in Italy
Two different organisations are involved. A consultant helps you build the system and prove it works; an accredited certification body then audits or assesses it and decides. Keeping the two separate is what makes the result credible to buyers and regulators.

Accreditation, audit language and remote audits in Italy
Use a certification body accredited for this standard by Accredia or by another accreditation body within the international mutual recognition arrangements (Global ACI — Global Accreditation Cooperation Incorporated, formerly the IAF MLA); check that the accreditation scope covers the standard and your sector. Does Italian law require ISO 37301?
The Ministry of Justice page on codes of conduct describes the 231 model mechanism without naming ISO 37301, so the standard is voluntary. Legislative Decree 231/2001 concerns the organisation and management models of entities, and art. 6 lets them be adopted on the basis of association codes. Ask counsel how a compliance management system fits your own model.
Is an ISO 37301 certificate the same as a 231 attestation?
No. Accredia notes that attestation of a model under Legislative Decree 231/2001 cannot be issued under accreditation, whereas an ISO 37301 certificate comes from a body accredited for management-system certification. They are different instruments, and one does not replace the other. Counsel can advise how they should work together in your organisation.
Can ISO 37301 be integrated with ISO 37001 and ISO 9001?
Yes. Accredia notes that the accredited certification path facilitates integration of ISO 37001 with other management-system standards, in particular ISO 9001 and ISO 37301, supporting a coherent approach to quality, compliance and organisational ethics. A single integrated system with shared internal audit and management review is usually the practical way to run them.
Who certifies ISO 37301 in Italy?
An accredited management-system certification body, normally accredited by Accredia, issues it. Sterling designs and builds the compliance management system and does not certify. Request written confirmation of the body's accredited scope for this standard before planning the audit, and decide the language of the audit and of controlled documents at application.
