Is ISO 27701 the same as complying with Thailand's PDPA?
No. ISO 27701 is a voluntary management standard, and the PDPA is a law. A privacy management system helps organise the evidence a regulator or customer may ask for, but legal duties must still be checked against the statute with counsel or the Personal Data Protection Committee.
