TISAX assessment in Stuttgart at a glance
Prototype designs, test results and specifications flow between the Stuttgart car brands and their development partners every day, and the people who receive them are asked to show how they protect them. TISAX is the automotive answer: the ENX Association's scheme, built on the VDA information security assessment catalogue, in which listed audit providers assess a company and the results are published to partners as labels on the ENX platform. It is an assessment, not a certificate. Engineering-service firms, software houses, prototype shops and logistics partners around Stuttgart are the usual participants. Sterling guides the gap analysis, control implementation and audit preparation from its Frankfurt office, working from the customer's required assessment objectives and level.

TISAX in Stuttgart: questions clients ask
How does a Stuttgart supplier know which TISAX level to aim for?
The customer sets the assessment objectives and level, usually in its supplier requirements, and the supplier then registers on the ENX platform. Ask the customer's information-security or purchasing contact for the exact requirement. Ask early, because label validity and objectives affect the audit plan.
Is ISO 27001 enough for TISAX in Stuttgart?
It helps considerably, since many controls overlap, but TISAX is a separate assessment against the VDA catalogue and needs a TISAX audit provider. A firm with ISO 27001 usually has a shorter gap analysis than one starting from zero. Sterling prepares the evidence but does not perform the assessment.
