Do E-Town rocket and satellite suppliers need AS9100?
Often, but the requirement comes from the customer's contract rather than from the city. The municipal investment pages describe a commercial aerospace chain at E-Town, and suppliers to those programmes are commonly asked for an aerospace quality system. Read the quality flow-down clauses in each purchase order before choosing the scope of your certificate.
Is AS9100 relevant to airport-zone service firms in Shunyi?
Only for firms that design, make or maintain aircraft parts or supply those who do. The Shunyi Cluster plan names aviation service among seven target industries, but logistics, finance and ground-handling businesses usually need ISO 9001 or continuity work instead. Ask your aviation customers which approval they require before committing to a scope.
