ISO 14001 certification in Delhi at a glance
Environmental discipline in Delhi is shaped by how industry is housed. DSIIDC's Narela complex was planned with a common effluent treatment plant, its Bawana area took relocated units, and its notice board carries a notice to CETP defaulter units, so a plant that sends effluent to shared treatment is visibly accountable to the body that allotted its plot. Printing and packaging firms at Naraina handle inks, solvents and film waste; electronics and engineering units in Okhla and Mayapuri handle metals, coolants and scrap. ISO 14001 turns those into aspects, controls, legal-requirement tracking and internal audits. National environmental law is covered on the India page. Sterling helps Delhi sites build the system, and an accredited certification body issues the certificate.

ISO 14001 in Delhi: questions clients ask
Does DSIIDC require ISO 14001 for units in its industrial areas?
The DSIIDC pages recorded do not name ISO 14001. They do show that DSIIDC builds common effluent treatment plants and issues notices to defaulting units, which makes discharge control a live issue for allottees. An environmental system helps meet that duty. Confirm current allotment terms with DSIIDC.
What would an ISO 14001 system cover for a Delhi printing unit?
It starts with an aspects register: inks and solvents, wash-water, paper and film waste, energy and fumes. Controls, emergency plans and monitoring follow, with legal requirements tracked in a register. The assessor tests that the system works in practice at the Naraina or Okhla site, not that the paperwork exists.
