ISO and GRC tools: check, choose, plan and verify
Sterling's ISO and GRC tools help you prepare before you talk to anyone: check how ready you are, choose the standards your sector expects, verify a certificate, draft a project plan and see what drives scope and timeline. Each takes a few minutes.
Which tool to use
Which tool should you use, and when?
Two tools help before a decision is made. Select the Standard™ asks for your industry and shows the standards that form your core system, the ones worth adding and the ones customers or regulators will require, each labelled accurately as certification, accreditation, attestation, compliance or guidance. The readiness check asks twenty questions and returns an overall score, four area scores and the priorities to fix first, in about ten minutes.
Two tools help with planning. The scope and timeline estimator takes your standards, sites, headcount, starting point and support level and shows the drivers behind a proposal's fee, without figures, and a planning timeline in months. The project plan generator takes a standard, a target month and Design™ or Drive™ support and produces a phased implementation plan with owners, deliverables and weeks, to print or copy into your own tools.
Two more help you check. The certificate check takes what a certificate shows and lists the checks to run: the issuer's register, the accreditation body, the scope, the sites, the dates and the warning signs that call for a closer look. The client feedback page sets out what clients say about working with Sterling, by standard, from signed letters on file, reported in Sterling's words.
The tools give an orientation, not a decision. A readiness score is not an audit result, a planning timeline is not a commitment, and a certificate check tells you what to verify with the issuing body rather than verifying it for you. A Sterling consultant can go through your result with you in a free discovery call and turn it into a scoped proposal.

FAQs
Using the tools
Three questions people ask before they start.
Which tool should we start with?
Start with Select the Standard™ if you are not yet sure which standard you need, because it shows what your sector expects and labels each route accurately. If you already know the standard, start with the readiness check, which shows where you stand and what to fix first. The planning tools are most useful once the standard and scope are settled.
Do the tools replace a gap analysis?
No. The tools give an orientation from your own answers, while a gap analysis compares your actual processes and records with every requirement of the standard, through interviews and evidence. A gap analysis is the first step of a Sterling engagement, and the readiness check result is a useful starting point for it.
How do we verify a certificate a supplier has given us?
Check it with the body that issued it. Look the certificate up on the certification body's own register, confirm that the scope and sites cover what the supplier provides to you and that the dates are current, and check that the body is accredited for that standard by an accreditation body in Global ACI. The certificate check lists each step and the warning signs.
